She had4 secretly been looking at him the whole week. The last couple of days, he had4 been looking back at her. She blushed11 every time their eyes accidently met11. He was5 sitting with his family, well; she thinks3 it is his family. She was5 sitting alone today. Her parents were5 out skiing, but she had4 hurt3 her knee, so she stayed11 at the hotel. It was5 lunchtime and she sat11 in a corner of the restaurant, and picked3 a little in her ordered3 salad. She looked3 up again and promised herself10 that she wouldn’t freak out over him. She gasped. He was looking even better than she remembered form 10 seconds ago. His half-long1, black1, curly1 hair was looking absolutely perfect, and no movie star could do it better. The fact that his shirt was a little open at the top didn’t2 help her concentrate on her food or looking away. He laughed at something, and, damn, he looked good smiling. He most have noticed her staring, because he looked up and looked her in the eyes. She pulled herself together, and decided that she wouldn’t look down this time. But then he blinked at her! “He. Blinked. At. Me!” she thought. Her “don’t look down”-tactic fell into pieces, and she blushed and looked down. Then his big brother looked over at her, and smiled evilly to his younger brother and said something she didn’t hear. But she did hear him say: “AW! Don’t kick me!” She smiled a little, and the next 5 minutes she was very concentrated about catching some escaping peas on her plate.
Then she heard the legs of their chairs scrambling against the floor, and she got a little sad, which was ridicules, “I didn’t even know him” like she thought. She was determent not to look up when she heard them walk by.
The sad feeling came again, and she got angry with herself. She was just about to stick a fork in her hand when she heard a voice close to her. “Hi, can I sit here?” She looked up, and there he was. “Ehh... Yeah, sure!” She stumbled across the words. He smiled a bit nervous, as he sat11 down. “I’m Lucas by the way. Lucas Smith” “Monica Jones” she smiled. “What are you having?” he asked. “Am I the only person in this room who9 is stunned by his amazingly beautiful green eyes?” Monica gasped “Ehm..” “Damn it words! Come out of my mouth!” Monica thought angrily1 at herself. “The chicken salad” she replied. He smiled a little and she couldn’t help it, she smiled too. He looked her in the eyes with his amazing eyes “You look pretty when you smile Monica Jones” he said and looked away blushing a little. “Thanks” she mumbled, blushed and looked down. After about half an hour with a lot of mumbling, blushing and random questions, they were talking very good together. Without even noticing they had moved so close to each other that the table let them. It was too close for friends, and they both sat op when Lucas’6 big brother came down. “Haha, I see you’re still here Lucas. I’m surprised that you haven’t taken her to your room yet!” he blinked at her and laughed. Apparently Lucas had enough of his stupid brother. He stood up, and said with a voice cold as ice: “Why don’t you just jump in the ocean?” he was getting red in the head. Lucas’ brother just smiled and said: “I would, but the ocean is pretty far away.” Monica could see that Lucas was exploding. “YOU ARE5 JUST JEALOUS BECAUSE I AM TALKING TO A BEAUTIFUL, SMART AND AMAZING GIRL THAT I LIKE! You on the other hand always end up with those dumb bimbos” Lucas’ brother was silent. Monica smiled, he liked her! Lucas was still standing up and looking very mad at his brother. Still looking at his brother Lucas held his hand out and said: “Come on Monica, let’s go” She grabbed his hand, and they went outside. They went for a long walk, and talked for hours. When they came back to the hotel her parents called her, and told her to get back. They stopped by the door of her room. Without saying anything he touched her lips with two fingers, gave her a little note and went to his room. On the note was his number. They wrote together all night, and the next day they met for lunch. It became a routine for a couple of days. Then, one day Lucas seemed a bit depressed and sad. In a hug, she asked him why. “We are leaving in two days, and then I will never see you again” he sad and hold her even tighter. Monica was choked. Of course she knew the holiday wouldn’t least forever, but two days? She felt something wet on my shoulder, and realized that Lucas was crying. She wrapped her fingers in his hair. His hair was so soft, even softer than silk. She stood up on her toes, to kiss his cheek, but in the second he turned his head and kissed her on the lips. First it was gently, a little nervous, but when she kissed back the kiss got more intense. She both loved and hated that kiss. She loved that he was kissing me that way, and hated it, because she knew it was an early goodbye.
The next two days she got a lot of these kisses, and she got sadder and sadder, because she knew he was leaving.
They agreed that a direct breakup would be best, so they deleted each other’s numbers. The day came. They were together all day, talked, kissed and packed. At the end they couldn’t drag it longer. They were standing in the lobby, holding each other’s hands. “I don’t have any8 idea how I’m going to be without you” Lucas said sadly. She didn’t know either, but she had to let him go. He took his bags and went out in the waiting car. He went away, looking out from the back of the car. She cried and waved after the car and shouting: “Lucas! I LOVE YOU!”
She went back to the hotel, and went straight to bed, even though it only was 3 o’clock pm. She cried in her sleep. She woke up by a noise from her cell phone, she had gotten a message. It said: “I’m sorry I didn’t delete your number… I love you too, of all my heart.” She stopped for a second and smiled, she hadn’t deleted his number either. She read along “Please don’t text me back, then I’ll just want to call you. I love you. Lucas.” Monica was sure, these7 feelings were love.
I hope it wasn't to long - and if it is, live with it ;) Bye :D
